Fans were curious about the possibility of pace bowler Naseem Shah joining Multan Sultans after the team’s X account shared a screenshot of a desktop screen with a video titled Naseem Shah best spells.

The image with the caption “Almost there…”, had two file folders barring the title of Multan Sultans Retention and MS Trades in the middle.

The video file of Shah’s best spell placed at the bottom right corner of the photo made fans wonder if Sultans were planning to pick the pace sensation in its lineup.

The PSL 9 is tentatively scheduled from February 8 to March 24, 2024.

It is pertinent to mention that Ali Tareen, the owner of Sultan, had expressed his wish to pick Shah for the team in the upcoming edition of the PSL.

“Me too. Real bad. But insaan sirf koshish ker sakta hai,” he said while replying to a fan’s demand of wanting Shah on the team.

Soon after the latest post by the team account, fans pondered over the pace bowlers’ arrival at the Sultans.

Rameen Khan, a commentator on X, hoped that Shah would be there at the Sultans in the upcoming edition of the PSL.

Abdullah Zafar, another fan, said that the hopes of Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United fans died with the latest post by the Sultans.

“RIP hopes of PZ and IU fans,” he wrote.

Hamxa, a fan, took the post as an announcement that Shah would join the Sultans.

Hamza Khan, another fan, pointed out the sudden entry of Sultans among the team expected to pick Shah, saying that the speculations were between Peshawar and Islamabad United.

“Multan came Out of Syllabus,” he wrote.

Umair Khan said that rumors were about Shah joining United, but now Sultans have also dropped a hint of picking the young pacer.

“Rumors are going around that Naseem Shah joined Islamabad United. Now you also drop a hint. What’s going on guys?” he wrote.
