Dr Faisal says Shaukat Khanum Hospital Karachi will be ready in two years
The work on Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Karachi will be finished in two years on the cost of Rs30 billion, said Dr Faisal Sultan, the CEO at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centers.
“We organised today’s event to show the people about the progress on the construction of the hospital. The hospital will house 300 beds and will be completed in two years,” he told media persons on Sunday.
Dr Sultan went on to add that the hospital is situated right on the main highway.
The hospital will be Pakistan’s third Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC), in Karachi.
The project in Karachi was officially inaugurated at a groundbreaking ceremony, held on the construction site in the DHA City on December 29, 2016.
According to SKMCH&RC, the hospital will include essential clinical and support departments including Medical Oncology, Paediatric Oncology, Clinical and Radiation Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Radiology, Anaesthesiology, Internal Medicine, Nuclear Medicine, Pathology, and Medical Physics.
