Pakistan cricket team player Imamul Haq married his “best friend” Anmol Mehmood in Lahore on Saturday and shared pictures on social media.

“Today, we’ve not only become partners for life but have also solidified the bond of best friendship, which has always been the foundation of our love story,” he said in a post on X, erstwhile Twitter.

The left handed cricketer wore a beige colour sherwani and a kullah with golden colour embroidery on it. His wife, who is a Norwegian citizen, wore a pink colour saari and an embroidered dupatta.

The news about the national cricketer’s marriage started circulating after fashion designer Hassan Sheheryar Yasin shared pictures of Anmol with the caption ‘Imam Ki Anmol’ on Instagram.

“Today, I not only married my best friend ,but also found my forever home in your heart. Keep us in your prayers.”

Before Imam, Shaheen Shah Afridi got married. The left-arm fast bowler tied the knot with Ansha, daughter of former cricketer Shahid Afridi, in a nikkah ceremony in Karachi on February 3, 2023. Their wedding ceremony was in Karachi on September 19 which was also attended by Imam.
