PPP leaders rebuff rumours of differences between Bilawal, Zardari
PPP leader Faisal Karim Kundi has said that rumours of differences between Bilawal, and Zardari were baseless, adding that the party chairman left for Dubai as per the schedule.
“PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari left for Dubai yesterday afternoon according to his schedule after KP visit,” he said in a post on X, erstwhile Twitter, on Friday. “Rumours regarding differences between Chairman PPP & President Asif Ali Zardari is baseless.”
He also shared two screenshots with his post.
His reaction came after the media reported that the PPP chief “abruptly” left for Dubai. They linked his visit to his father Asif Ali Zardari’s recent interview with Geo News where the latter stated that the former was ‘not trained yet’.
“Bilawal is not completely trained and now we are training him,” he said in an interview with Hamid Mir on his show Capital Talk.
When the shocked host pressed him on his answer, Zardari shook his head. “He [Bilawal] will take time.” Zardari agreed that Bilawal was more talented, educated, and better-spoken than him. “But experience is experience.”
But the speculations further increased when Bilawal changed his profile picture on X. The updated display picture showed him and his late mother Benazir Bhutto.
PPP leader Sherry Rehman also reacted to reports and wondered about the reasons for ‘panicked reporting’.
“Don’t know why the panicked reporting on some channels: Chairman Bilawal BhuttoZardari left for Dubai yesterday late afternoon exactly as scheduled,” she said on X.
