Kakar says privatising PIA is ‘top priority’
Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar has one again said that massive news about foreign investment in the country could come over the next week.
Speaking at an event in Islamabad, Kakar said that the investments will come not only from the region but abroad as well.
He added that the government is focusing on the privatisation of the Pakistan International Airlines and it is the ‘top’ priority.
Kakar said that changes were being brought to investment policies through the Special Investment Facilitation Council. He added that the government was also looking to bring down its own expenses.
He said that the government wanted to keep working on develop skills among the people of the country and a project was being prepared to train one million nurses over the next decade.
Kakar added that the media in Pakistan is completely independent and is a key tool to promote societal value.
