Power tariff likely to go up by Rs3.53 per unit
The government is likely to put an additional burden of Rs40 billion on electricity consumers.
The sources with knowledge of the matter said the electricity tariff is likely to go up by Rs3.53 per unit.
The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has filed an application in Nepra to increase the price of electricity, the sources said, adding that the increase has been sought under monthly fuel adjustment for October 2023.
Nepra will take up the application on November 29, they said adding that the surge will not be applicable to K-Electric consumers.
