Caretaker Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti on Sunday visited Maulana Tariq Jamil, a well-known religious scholar of Pakistan, to offer condolence on the death of his son Asim Jamil.

Bugti recited Fatiha for the deceased and said that the death of a young brings great sadness and shock to the whole family.

Maulana Tariq Jamil’s son Asim Jamil died due to a bullet injury in his native town Talamba in Mian Channu, Punjab.

The religious scholar’s other son Maulana Yusuf Jamil said that there was no enmity with his family, and there was no truth in the news of his brother’s murder.

In his message on the social website, he said that Asim Jamil had been suffering from depression since childhood, he was being treated with electric shocks for the last six months.

Asim Jamil was laid to rest in a local graveyard in Tulamba town of Mian Channu in Punjab after his funeral prayer was offered.

Prominent politicians and religious personalities among others were present in funeral prayers.
