Ban on use of word ‘Sir’ for government officials

The Supreme Court heard the bail application of the accused in the case of the murder of a 9-year-old child in Mardan.

The Supreme Court has banned the use of the word “sir” for government officials and has said that the word “sir” does not reflect a free nation.

The Supreme Court heard the bail application of the accused in the case of the murder of a 9-year-old child in Mardan.

The Chief Justice expressed his anger over the poor police investigation and termed the police investigation as shameful.

Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa remarked that the police did not do anything in the investigation, the Supreme Court has been converted into a magistrate’s court, the child died and the state of the police investigation is this.

During the hearing, the Chief Justice imposed a ban on the use of the word “sir” for government officials and said that the word “sir” has been used with DSP, the word “sir” does not reflect a free nation.

The Supreme Court granted bail to the accused in the murder case.
