ICC World Cup 2023 garners another milestone

The World Cup still has semi-finals on November 15 and 16 and the final on November 19.

During the mega event the International Cricket Council (ICC) has gripped all attention of cricket lovers and crossed another milestone of the biggest crowd collection in World Cup 2023.

ICC said that so far more than a million fans have watched the matches in the stadiums and it has become the biggest event in the history of cricket in terms of the number of fans.

The ICC milestone of a million spectators was crossed in the match between South Africa and Afghanistan, which was played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

ICC shared news of record-breaking crowd of World Cup 2023 on X (Formally Twitter), by saying: “Another milestone achieved” by one million fans watching the biggest event.

The World Cup still has semi-finals on November 15 and 16 and the final on November 19.

ICC Events Head Chris Tetley says the record attendance is a testament to the interest of fans in the ODI cricket format.
