Renowned Indian actors shine on Pakistani cinema with stellar performances

Over ten actors played a significant role in Pakistani movies

Not only did Pakistani actors shine in the screen of Bollywood cinema screen but renowned Indian actors also glittered Pakistani cinema screen with their stellar performances.

Legendary actor Om Puri who always supports Muslims and Pakistan in his statements, suddenly died of a heart attack performing in the Pakistani movie ‘Na Maloom Afraad’, a Pakistani cinematic venture by director Nabeel Qureshi and producer Fizza Ali Meerza.

Veteran actor and best friend of Om Puri, Naseeruddin Shah was a part of Khuda Ke Liye alongside Pakistan’s charming Fawad Khan.

Indian actor Arbaaz Khan worked in Godfather—a Pakistani Urdu film directed by Hriday Shetty and released across theatres in Pakistan on 14 October 2007—this film had a cast including both Pakistani and Indian actors.

Neha Dhupia gave her performance in ‘Kabhi Pyar na Karna’ a Pakistani Urdu film directed by Javed Raza. The film was produced by Khawaja Tariq Tahir and it is written by Ahmed Aqeel Ruby. Zara Sheikh, Veena Malik and Moammar Rana perform leading roles in this film. Bollywood actress Neha Dhupia made her Pakistani film debut.

Virsa was released in 2010, and a film was produced with the collaboration of Indian and Pakistani filmmakers cast by Gulshan Grover who mostly plays the characters of villains in Indian cinema.

The film ‘Love Mein Gum’ a romantic script directed and produced by Reema Khan has Johnny Lever in the cast, it is a love story of a man who fails to attempt suicide and falls in love with a doctor who treats him in a rehabilitation centre. The film was released in 2011.

Shilpa Shukla made her debut with the Pakistani film ‘Khamosh Pani’.

Kirron Kher, wife of Anupam Kher was also sought with Shilpa Shukla in the same movie.

Amrita Arora played a shorter role in Godfather.

Big Boss winner and Prerna of Kasurti Zindagi ki, Shweta Tiwari played her part in the movie Saltanat.

It should be noted that earlier a month ago, a petition was filed in the Indian High Court to avert the Pakistani actors and artists to work in India. However, it was rejected by the Court.
