Israel has killed more civilians in Gaza in 30 days than Russia has in its entire war in Ukraine, which began over 600 days ago, British filmmaker Jemima Goldsmith said on Monday as she drew the world’s attention to the besieged territory.

“The number of people killed in Gaza since the start of the war has risen to more than 10,000 - including 4,100 children,” she said in reply to a post on X.

More than 10,000 Palestinians have so far been killed in the Israeli military offensive with almost half of them being children in Gaza.

Jemima, who has been vocal about the Israeli aggression, called out those who have been opposing the ceasefire in the occupied territory despite the soaring death toll which includes a large number of children.

“At this stage, those wringing their hands about 4000 + dead children but still opposed to a ceasefire to prevent thousands more children being killed, are unreachable. Poor them to have lost all compassion and humanity,” the former wife of PTI Chairman Imran Khan said.

For 1 month, people across Gaza Strip have been denied aid, killed, and bombed out of their homes, according to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East.

The relief organisation said that the people daily struggle to find bread and water. Blackouts cut people off from loved ones & the rest of the world, it added.

“This is forced displacement & humanitarian tragedy of colossal proportions.”
