Fawad Chaudhry’s remand extended for another day
A district and sessions court in Islamabad extended Fawad Chaudhry’s remand by one more day on Tuesday.
Chaudhry was brought to court after his two-day remand ended. Police argued for an extension in the physical remand which was opposed by Chaudhry’s laywer, Faisal Chaudhry.
The court then reserved its decision and later announced that Fawad would be remanded for one more day.
Chaudhry has been accused of taking Rs500,000 from amn against the promise of a job and issuing death threats.
He was arrested on Saturday morning from his house in Islamabad and his whereabouts remained unknown until he was produced in court on Sunday.
