Grounded aircraft damaged as security forces foil terror attack on Mianwali airbase
Security forces foiled a terror attack on Pakistan Air Force training airbase in Mianwali, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said, as terrorists targeted the military installation on Saturday.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), nine terrorists were killed as the clearance operation was completed foiling the attack on the PAF Training Base Mianwali.
The army personnel foiled the terrorist attack by giving a timely and effective response. The terrorist attack was foiled as the troops reacted swiftly to the attack adding that three aircraft grounded at the facility and a fuel bowser had been slightly damaged, ISPR added.
Caretaker Interior Minister Pakistan Sarfaraz Bagti’s tweeted to condemn the attack on Social media platform X.
He said, ’’The names of the attackers in DI Khan, Pasni, and Mianwali must be separate, but the enemy behind the scenes is the same. The recent wave of terrorism is a conspiracy to create instability. “
All civil and military institutions will defend the country with their lives. We will defeat the conspiracies of the enemies, the Caretaker Interior Minister added.
