PTI’s Asad Qaiser arrested from Islamabad on corruption charges
PTI leader and former speaker of the National Assembly Asad Qaiser has been arrested from Islamabad.
The anti-corruption establishment arrested Qaiser from his residence in Islamabad on charges of corruption, sources said.
Qaiser’s brother confirmed the news and said that police and civilian-clothed men entered the house and took the PTI leader with them.
The PTI called it shameful that just one day after the election announcement, PTI leadership continued to face such fascism.
“CJP must ensure that this fascism ends as soon as possible, otherwise such rigging plans will continue to happen in Pakistan. Everyone’s rights have to be protected!” it wrote in a post on X.
