Govt announces public holiday on Iqbal day
The holiday will be observed throughout the country
The federal government has announced a public holiday on November 9 in observance of Iqbal day.
A notification regarding the holiday on the national poet’s birth anniversary was issued by the Cabinet Division on Friday.
The poet, remembered as Shair-e-Mashriq, was born in Sialkot on November 9, 1877. He passed away in Lahore on April 21, 1938.
