Two soldiers martyred in Awaran gun battle with terrorists: ISPR
Two soldiers were martyred during an exchange of fire with terrorists in the general area Khoro of the Awaran district in Balochistan on Sunday, the Inter-Services Public Relation said.
In a statement, the military’s media wing said that two terrorists were killed while two others got injured.
The martyred soldiers were identified as Naib Subedar Asif Irfan, 37, a resident of Okara district, and Sepoy Irfan Ali, 22, a resident of the Sargodha district.
Sanitisation of the area was being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area, the statement added.
“Security forces are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” it said.
