3 out of 10 of educated youth are jobless in Pakistan

The educated youth of the country are suffering from difficulties as the unemployment rate has risen over 60 percent as 3 out of 10 people are facing unemployment issues in Pakistan.

High-qualified Pakistanis who have degrees in their hands were seeking international opportunities for jobs, and demanding the government to make such policies which could assist them in finding employment across the globe.

The youth terms the lack of planning as a reason behind the high percentage of joblessness. People also believe that the economic crisis bars the youth from obtaining jobs, in the current situation, fewer jobs have been being created in the country for many years.

However, they gave the example that Ph.D. degree holders were working in the call center in their households.

On the other hand, women expressed grievances that there was no value in degree, and the vacancies were being filled with references.

The statistics indicate that more than 3 out of 10 people were facing unemployment issues in Pakistan. The unemployment rate in urban areas increased from 2 percent to 10.1 percent, and in rural areas, it has increased from 4.3 percent to 5 percent.

The issue of unemployment had not newly emerged, it was an old problem in the country but after the Covid19 it changed into a worse situation when many of the employed forced fully turned onto jobless due to the curbs implemented globally.
