Malala donates $300k for Palestinians amid war with Israel
Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai has expressed her solidarity with Palestine after the recent bombing of the Al Ahli Hospital in the Gaza Strip and donated $300k for them.
The attack carried out by Israeli forces resulted in the tragic loss of hundreds of lives. The hospital had been sheltering hundreds of sick and injured individuals, as well as people who had been forcibly displaced due to the ongoing hostilities in the region.
Malala also urged the Israeli government to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza and to reiterate the call for a ceasefire.
She said: “Half of Gaza’s population is under 18 years old; they should not be forced to live their entire lives in the bombing.”
“We must be clear to our leader that we expect them to work towards that and immediate cease-fire.”
Malala also urged others to donate to organizations providing humanitarian Aid.
Earlier, on October 10, she had called for an immediate cease-fire amid the Israel-Palestine war which has killed several people on both sides of the border.
