Hashtag #BoycottIndoPakMatch began trending on X, the comment stated: “Let’s use #BoycottIndoPakMatch and make a difference for once. BCCI is too blinded by money and the government too is incompetent (like it or not).”

Indian netizens were connecting the game with political uncertainty between the two countries saying: “Enemies are always enemies”.

Some users also target the BCCI’s officials as well as demanding to stop artists in the celebrations all set to be held on October 14 before the match.
