Aamir Khan – also known as ‘Mr Perfectionist’ of Bollywood – has confirmed that his next movie is titled ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ which is a remake of the hit Spanish movie Campeones.

“I have not said it publically but the title of my new movie is Sitaare Zameen Par,” he said at an event of News 18 in Delhi on Tuesday. “Because we are now moving 10 steps forward with that same [Taare Zameen Par] theme.”

This would be Aamir’s first release after Laal Singh Chaddha which was released in August 2022. But the film did not manage to have a big box office collection.

He did not speak in detail about the film but shared the title of the movie. Earlier media reports said that Aamir was planning to have Salman Khan in the movie but the plan did not materialise.

Aamir added that Sitaare Zameen Par would make people laugh instead of making people cry like the Taare Zameen Par.

He went on to state that the filmmakers were taking the same theme of searching for inner abilities and improving personality.

Moreover, he said that the nine characters would be helping him in the movie.

It merits here to mention that Aamir would also be producing a Rajkumar Santoshi film Lahore 1947, starring Sunny Deol in the lead role.
