Elon Musk strips headlines from news stories shared on X platform

The measure is latest in Musk's changes to how news is viewed

Microblogging website X , formerly Twitter, is no longer showing headlines on articles shared on the platform. Instead, X is only showing the article’s lead image and the domain it will link you to.

On X, some users on Wednesday were seeing news stories without headlines and links however, the feature rolled out only in USA and Canada for now.

This change, while very annoying for some users but it doesn’t come as a total surprise.

Fortune reported in August, Elon Musk is pushing to change how news links appear on his social media platform X, formerly called Twitter, in a move that could potentially undermine the ability of news publishers to draw audience.
