The Islamabad Capital Police on Saturday filed a first information report against PTI leader Sher Afzal Khan Marwat on the complaint of PML-N leader Senator Afnan Ullah Khan.

The FIR was filed at the Aabpara Police Station under Section 352 (Punishment for assault or criminal force otherwise than on grave provocation) and Section 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

The ICT said that Khan had requested to file an FIR against the PTI leader for assaulting him during a live show.

On September 28, Marwat and Khan engaged in a fistfight during a talk show on a private news channel.

The scuffle started with the PTI leader and PML-N’s Khan exchanging harsh words during the live TV show which later turned into a full-blown fight.

Footage of the brawl showed Marwat standing from his seat and slapping Senator Khan. Later, they engaged in a fistfight and exchanged kicks and punches on the set of the programme.
