BISP money allegedly stolen in Karachi
Complainant says incident happened just before he planned to disburse the money
Over a million rupees from the Benazir Income Support Programme was allegedly stolen before disimbursement in Karachi on Monday.
Police said that a man had complained that Rs1.25 million were stolen from him by two armed men in Shah Latif town.
The man told the police that he had withdrawn the money in advance and planned to disburse it on Monday. However, a statement from the police said that the man who had made the complaint seemed suspect.
Investigations into the incident are continuing.
