Ranipur maid case: Fatima’s mother accuses SHO of issuing death threats
The mother of Fatima, whose lifeless body was found in haveli of pir in Ranipur, has alleged that the SHO of Khan Wahan police station has threatened to kidnap and murder her.
She said, in a video message, that SHO Ghani Dayo used derogatory remarks against her daughter, who worked as a maid in Asah Shah’s house and was buried without a post-mortem examination after her death.
The mother went on to accuse SHO Dayo of working for the pirs of Ranipur and sought protection from the police official.
Fatima, 10, was found dead on August 13 in Asad Shah’s mansion in the Ranipur taluka of Khairpur district. Initial reports claimed she was killed and that marks of torture were found on her body.
The postmortem report of the murdered maid showed that she died of head and chest injuries.
The prime suspect Asad Shah was booked in a first information report, invoking sections 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) and 302 (punishment of qatl-i-amd) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
It was later reported that the prime suspect was part of the dark web.
A day earlier, the Khairpur police arrested Fayyaz Shah, father of Hina Shah, from his haveli while Hina remained on the run.
Shah had secured bail from the Sindh High Court’s Hyderabad Bench.
