Newly-wed fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has thanked his well-wishers and shared pictures from his wedding on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Thank you everyone for the warm and lovely wishes,” he wrote on X and shared two pictures where he was seen holding his wife’s hand and standing with his father-in-law Shahid Afridi.

“Here is to the beginning of love and laughter with the special one.”

The wedding ceremony of fast bowler Shaheen with Ansha Afridi, Shahid Afridi’s daughter, took place in Karachi on Tuesday night.

Shaheen and Ansha tied the knot in a daytime nikkah in Karachi on February 03, 2021. The reception was held for the couple at the DHA Golf and Country Club after their nikkah.

The valima reception of fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi was held at a private hotel in Islamabad on Thursday, with people from showbiz and sports fraternity attending the event.
