A drug addict killed his 12-month-old nephew by slitting his throat in Punjab’s Arifwala, while the accused father was wounded in his attack.

The police arrested the accused Waqas on a complaint filed by the victim’s grandmother at the city police station.

Erum, mother of victim and sister of suspect Waqas came to her parent’s home with her mother-in-law.

The incident occurred late at night when all family members were sleeping and Waqas brought his 12-month-old nephew Momin to the washroom where he slit his throat and ran away.

Police later arrested him.
