Action over reopening graft cases began on Thursday as the registrar of Islamabad’s accountability court prepared a list of cases and sent it to the court.

National Accountability Bureau’s prosecutor said that the case records will be presented in court later on Thursday.

Judge Muhammad Bashir, who is the only judge serving in the accountability court right now, remarked that cases seemed to be arriving in truckloads.

Reports said that the accountability court has recalled the staff of accountability courts number 2 and 3 which had been sent to other courts as no judges are on duty.

The reports added that over 80 cases will be reopned as a result of the recent Supreme Court Judgement including cases aganst Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Asif Zardari and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
