The wedding ceremony of fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi with Ansha Afridi, Shahid Afridi’s daughter, took place in Karachi on Tuesday night.

The couple tied the knot in a private nikkah ceremony earlier this year.

Pakistan cricket team skipper Babar Azam also attended the wedding function. He was seen in social media videos embracing the speedster.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, he congratulated Shaheen.

Former cricketer Saeed Anwar also attended Shaheen Shah Afridi’s wedding.

On Monday, the mehndi ceremony of Shaheen and Ansha was held at Shahid Afridi’s house with only relatives and close friends in attendance.

Shaheen and Ansha tied the knot in a daytime nikkah in Karachi on February 03, 2021. The reception was held for the couple at the DHA Golf and Country Club after their nikkah.

The Walima reception is scheduled to take place on September 21 in Islamabad.
