Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir has praised the Pakistan Army for its professionalism during a visit to the Junior Leadership Academy (JLA) Shinkiari, which is a union council in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Mansehra district.

“Our standard of professionalism and leadership is par excellence compared to any modern army of the world,” the army chief was quoted as saying in an Inter-Services Public Relations press release on Tuesday.

The military’s media wing described the academy as the Center of Excellence for the training of non-commissioned officers.

COAS Munir laid a floral wreath at the Yadgaar-e-Shuhada and addressed the participants of the academy. He termed the junior leaders as the backbone of the Pakistan Army and the key to success in conventional and unconventional warfare.

“Junior leaders of the Pak Army have proven their mettle in the fields of training, operations, and world-class competitions across the world,” he added.

After visiting the academy, the army chief visited the Barotha Garrison and interacted with the participants in the military exercise.

“Opening Ceremony of Multi-National Special Forces Exercise “Eternal Brotherhood-II” was held at Barotha,” said the ISPR handout, adding special forces contingents from Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Turkiye, and Uzbekistan are participating in the two-week exercise.

COAS Munir visited Barotha Garrison and interacted with the exercising participants. He was briefed by the army men on the scope of the exercise by the general officer commanding the Special Service Group.

The exercise was aimed at further “harnessing the historic military to military relations among the friendly countries, including nurturing of joint employment concept while identifying areas of mutual interest for future military collaborations and benefitting from each other’s experience against terrorism.”

On arrival at the academy and Brotha, the COAS was received by the inspector general training and evaluation.
