The dead body of six-year-old Ali Hamza who went missing on August 15 was found in the canal of Punjab’s Pak Pattan. Police said he was raped and killed by his 12-year-old cousin.

The accused, Ali Hussain, has been arrested and has confessed to his crime, according to the police.

Muhammad Ahmed, a resident of Malik Pur village approached the police when we learned that his son had gone missing. The police immediately after registering the complaint launched a search.

The Station House Officer of Saddar police station Abid Ashique Mahar said the police checked the CCTV footage of the nearest area and found that the boy was going with Ali Husnain, an underage cousin of the victim, on a bicycle.

The police detained Ali Husain who admitted that he had sexually abused Ali Hamza and threw him in Khadar canal.

On his identification, the police reached to spot and recovered Hamza’s body.

The first information report of the incident has been registered on the complaint of the victim’s father.
