Imran Khan among sisters found ‘culpable’ in Jinnah House attack case
A joint investigation team has found PTI chief Imran Khan, his sisters, Asad Umar, and Shah Mahmood Qureshi culpable in a case pertaining to the attack on Jinnah House (Lahore Corps Commanders), sources said.
They added that JIT head Imran Kishore has completed the investigation.
The JIT investigation revealed that the Jinnah House was attacked allegedly on the orders of Khan and the former prime minister has purportedly confessed to giving orders for the attack.
Violent protests broke out where state buildings and military installations were attacked following Khan’s arrest within the premises of Islamabad High Court on May 9.
Sources added that the JIT team made Khan part of the investigation three times. The team also went to Attock Jail where the former prime minister remains incarcerated in a cipher case after a court suspended his sentence in the Toshakhana case.
The team is expected to soon file for his arrest.
It merits here to mention that investigation related to the vandalism at the Askari Towe was under and separate JITs have been formed for them.
