South African women’s team lands in Pakistan for T20I, ODI series
The women’s cricket team of South Africa landed in Karachi on Sunday for the T20I and ODI series against Pakistan, the national cricket board said. Laura Wolvaardt, Marizanne Kapp, and Nadine de Klerk will arrive in Karachi on August 29.
“Very excited to be back in Pakistan. I think it’s a new city [Karachi],” South Africa all-rounder Sune Luus, who landed in Sindh’s capital for the first time, told the PCB.
She was of the view that the new city holds its own challenges. Luus was excited to see crowds and the cricket in Pakistan.
PCB’s Head of Women’s Cricket Tania Malik and General Manager Ayesha Ashar welcomed the team.
Three T20Is series would start on September 1 in Karachi. After this, the three ODI series would be played on September 8, 11, and 14.
