Ranipur maid murder: Katcha dacoits issue threats to Fatima Fariro’s family
After an influential Ranipur family faced backlash and police crackdown following the death of a 10-year-old girl, Fatima Fariro, in their haveli, the dacoits from the katcha area have vowed to protect them.
Fatima Firoro’s death led to a nationwide outcry and a postmortem examination report confirmed that she had been subjected to rape before her death. Asad Shah, the son-in-law of a leading pir in Ranipur, has been arrested in the case. He is accused of being part of the dark web child pornography rings.
His wife Hina was also arrested after other girls fled the haveli alive.
The dacoits of katcha have now released a video statement vowing to protect the family which said comprised their saints or pirs and warned of dire consequences if anyone raised their voice for Fatima.
“Anyone who talks in negative terms about our saints and the haveli will face the consequences,” warned one of the decoits on camera.
“We will protect our pirs and the haveli,” the dacoits said brandishing weapons in the video that surfaced on Thursday.
Fatima’s parents have claimed that they were receiving threats from the powerful family.
Fatima’s mother has pleaded before the court to charge Hina Shah’s father in the case, saying the man was issuing threats to them.
