An employee of government-run Benazir Bhutto Hospital in Rawalpindi was suspended following the allegation that a woman was raped in the hospital’s x-ray room.

The victim claimed that the accused is a friend of hers and is a resident of Qazian town in Gujar Khan Tehsil of Punjab.

The MS of the hospital Tahir Rizvi said that the employee was suspended, however, he claimed that the alleged rape did not happen at the hospital premises.

The CCTV footage showed that the alleged victim entered the hospital at 2:15 pm and left the premises, he added.

Police said that investigations are underway while it is carrying out raids to arrest the alleged culprit. The woman’s medical examination will confirm her claim of being raped, it added.
