An alleged robber was killed while two others were arrested after they exchanged fire with Sindh Rangers and Karachi police at Brooks Chowrangi in Korangi areas of Karachi on Monday, spokesperson for Sindh Rangers said.

The suspects opened fire on the patrolling party of the Sindh Rangers after they were asked to stop for checking. The Rangers officials returned fire resulting in the killing of one suspect, he added.

The two arrested suspects were identified as Abdullah and Altaf.

Arms and ammunition and a motorcycle were recovered from the suspected robbers, which were handed over to the police, the spokesperson said. The security forces are obtaining the criminal records of the suspects, he added.
