Outgoing Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif presented “National Icon Awards 2023” and health cards to celebrities and appreciated them for their tireless services to the Pakistani film industry.

In the same event held in the Governor House Punjab, PM also launched the “Aawaz Khazana” App, highlighting the government’s commitment to reviving the film industry.

Many veteran and emerging actors including Sangeeta, Bushra Ansari, Wahaj Ali, Resham, Meera, Mawra Hussain, Humayun Saeed, Nadia Jameel, Sanam Saeed, and Mohib Mirza participated in the event.

Humayun Saeed expressed gratitude towards the Government of Pakistan for legislation related to the film industry.

The federal cabinet approved the Music Policy in its final meeting on August 9.
