Hindu organisation offers INR1 million reward for slapping Akshay Kumar
Rashtriya Hindu Parishad Bharat, a Hindu organisation from Agra, Uttar Pradesh announced a reward of INR1 million to slap Akshay Kumar alleging that the actor hurt the sentiments of several Hindus by playing a Hindu god’s messenger in his recent film OMG2, Indian media reported.
The Rashtriya Hindu Parishad Bharat set fire to the Indian actor’s effigies and the film’s posters on Thursday.
The organisation vowed that it would not back down from demonstrating before the theatres where the film is being shown.
Organisation President Govind Parashar also announced the reward, asserting certain scenes in the movies insulted a Hindu god.
Parashar demanded the Indian government and censor board to ban the film, and warned that they would continue to protest against the film.
The sequel to OMG: ‘OMG: Oh my God’ released in 2012, ‘OMG 2’ stars Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in the leading roles.
