Imam-e-Kaaba replaced mid-prayer after sickness
Sheikh Sudais stepped in to complete the prayers
The imam leading Friday prayers in Masjid Al-Haram had to be replaced after he stopped mid-prayer due to sudden change in health.
Sheikh Maher Al Muaqily was leading the prayers on Friday when he faltered during the recitation of the Surah Fatiha.
However, Sheikh Sudais, who was in the front row of the stepped up and continued the recitation from where Muaqily had left of and completed the prayers.
A statement from the mosque’s spokesperson said that Muaqily had to stop leading the prayer due to fatigue.
