Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Sheheryar Afridi was rearrested immediately after release from outside Adiala Jail on Thursday.

His brother, Farrukh Jamal Afridi, was also arrested along with him by Punjab police.

A Rawalpindi bench of the Lahore High Court had ordered the release of the brothers from jail.

Afridi’s lawyer, Chaudhry Ishtiaq, said that his client was taken into custody despite protective bail.
