An alleged police encounter in Kashmore left six dacoits from Kuccha dead.

A police statement said that the dacoits who were left injured in the encounter also succumbed to their wounds.

Janu Andhar, leader of the Andhar gang wsa killed in the encounter, police said. The police has set a prize money of Rs10 million for him.

The Andhar Gang had allegedly killed nine people in Mahi Chowk.

Police also added that ther were dozens of serious cases against the dacoits in both Sindh and Punjab.

A search operation is being carried out in the area.
