A team of Islamabad Police officials has left for Lahore to question the parents of Rizwana, the minor house help who is under treatment after being brutally beaten up.

Meanwhile, the civil judge’s wife who is nominated as the main suspect in the case is still at large. Police has raided the judge’s residences in Islamabad as well as Gujranwala but has so far been unable to apprehend the suspect.

Officials have now decided to monitor both residences with plain clothes officials being placed on all residences.

Police have also decided to trace the suspect’s mobile phone.

Rizwana will not need brain surgery

On the other hand, Rizwana continues to be treated in Lahore’s General Hospital, where a medical board has been consituted to look after her well being.

Initial reports had said that she had sustained 15 wounds on her body including her head. All her wounds are redressed twice every day.

Doctors have concluded that she will not need brain surgery as the injury and swelling on her head can be controlled by medicine.
