A man has reportedly gone after taking a loan from the app in Rawalpindi. The incident comes more than a week after a man reportedly committed suicide in the twin cities after failing to repay interest on a loan he had borrowed from an App.

Nasir, who according to his brother’s complaint, has been missing for the past 24 hours. The kidnapping complaint was registered at Civil Lines Police Station.

The alleged victim took Rs15,000 worth of loan through an easy loan application in Eid. He had allegedly paid Rs12,000 worth of the first installment.

Tired of blackmail, the complaint said that Nasir also approached the Federal Investigation Agency. But someone kidnapped him on Saturday due to a lack of timely action.

Last week, the FIA’s Cyber Crime Circle arrested nine suspects for their alleged role in blackmailing citizens after lending them money through online lending apps.

They were arrested from a plaza situated at Saidpur Road, Rawalpindi.

A few foreign nationals had also been employed by the loan shark company, according to Salman Sufi, head of PM’s strategic reforms.
