Nawaz to return in ‘a few weeks’
Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan in ‘a few weeks’ from London, sources said on Friday.
The politician is currently in Jeddah from where he is expected to fly to London on July 25, from where he will fly back to Pakistan.
Nawaz has been living in exile, mainly in London, since 2019.
As Nawaz leaves Jeddah for London, Maryam Nawaz will return to Pakistan where she is expected to spearhead a campaign to welcome her father.
Party sources said that all amjor leaders, as well as divisional heads have been told to bring crowds to welcome Nawaz.
The sources also said that the official announcement of Nawaz’s return can be mae any minute.
The PML-N which is the biggest party in the current government has already managed to bring legislative changes which could pave way for Nawaz’s return to politics by ending his lifetime disqualification.
