Govt announces Ashura holidays
The holdiays will fall on July 28 and 29
The federal government has announced a public holiday schedule for Youm-e-Ashur.
The government has announced holidays for July 28 and 29 which fall on Friday and Saturday.
The days of 9th and 10th of Muharram are observed with religious respect in Pakistan, with processions being taken out across the country.
Strict security arrangements will be made for the processions. Army tropps have been called in islamabad and the entry of motorcycles has been banned in the red zone.
Section 144 has been imposed in Sindh.
