The AG said that the country is already beign targeted by terrorist attacks, and May 9 had also led to all main cities of Pakistan facing attacks.

However, when he added that some protestors had also been charged with section 302, Justice Mazahar Naqvi asked him if any army officials had been killon May 9.

When the AG repled in the negative, Justice Naqvi asked him how section 302 had been applied.

The chief justice also asked him about the punishments under section 7 of the Army Act. The AG replied that the maximum sentence was teo-years imprisonment.

The chief justice remarked that this meant civil courts carried a longer sentence.
