The Karachi Police arrested five PTI leaders including PTI Sindh’s Information Secretary Jafarul Hasan from Karachi Press Club on Monday.

Hasan, along with other party leaders, had come to the press club to address a press conference regarding the joining of new workers.

The PTI Karachi Twitter account confirmed the arrest of its party leader.

The PTI Karachi account also announced the arrest of another leader from the press club.

“PTI District Kemari General Secretary Qadir Khan was arrested from Karachi Press Club,” the party account wrote.

The police took extra security and precautionary measures and deployed a huge contingent of police while asking for more police personnel around the press club, sources said.
