The NADRA code guide you didn’t know you needed
The National Database and Registration Authority is more than just the office where you get your identity cards. The database contains information related to hundreds of aspects of information that you might need from your voter information, to your car’s details to your eligibility for social protection programs.
Unfortunately, a visit to NADRA’s office brings the image of long queues and waiting times into most people’s minds.
However, NADRA operates multiple codes that can get you information via a simple text message. A few clicks on your phone could save you a visit.
So here is a list of NADRA codes that could come in handy for you.
- 8521: Send your car’s chassis number on this code to find out if your vehicle is classified is stolen
- 7000: Send your CNIC number on this code to find out if any unknown cards are reigstered on your number
- 8300: Send your CNIC number on this code to find out where your vote is registered
- 668: Send your CNIC number on this code to find out how many sims from each network are registered against your name
- 9966: Type ‘ATL’ before your CNIC number and send it on this code to find out if you are a tax filer or not
- 8009: Send your CNIC number on this code to find out details of your family tree
- 1166: Send your CNIC number on this code to find out your Covid vaccination status
- 8500/9780: Send your CNIC number on this code to find out details about your Sehat card
- 8171: Send you CNIC number on this code to to get information about BISP registration
