The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has announced holiday in all of its departments and affiliated institutions on July 11, on account of the urs of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi.

The annual urs of the saint is celebrated on Zilhaj 22, as per the Islamic calendar every year.

The holiday is in accordance with resolution number 594, dated 27-01-2005 passed by the City Council Karachi, according to a notification issued by the KMC.

The three-day urs celebrations, which will continue till July 11, feature a qawwali session, Naat programme and another qawwali session.
