Karachi policeman, four others booked for killing pet dog
The Additional District and Sessions judge of Karachi East heard on Saturday a case involving the killing of a pet dog, which the plaintiff said, was brutally killed by a policeman and four others.
The SHO of Ferozabad Police Station submitted a copy of the first information report (FIR) in which complainant Riaz Hussain said that he got into a verbal spat with Ali, Hassan and Mustafa.
Hussain alleged that Ali, who is a policeman, and others named by him threatened to kill his dog ‘Joji’
In the FIR, he said that a female school teacher had gifted him a puppy which he looked after with “love and care”. “The puppy grew up as a beautiful dog, due to which people kept asking me to sell it but I refused. I got into a verbal fight with the accused as they were trying to steal the dog.”
Hussain, a waiter at a local restaurant, alleged that the suspects told him that his dog would not be alive for longer during the fight.
“They stole my dog on February 10. The dog was found dead in a garbage dump in Hill Park after two days on February 12. They brutally murdered him as burn marks were visible on the dog’s chest,” he added.
