PM Shehbaz extends Eidul Azha holidays

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended the Eidul Azha holidays by a day, said a notification on Thursday. Under this decision, June 28 would also be considered as a holiday.

“June 28, 29, 30, 2023 (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) for the offices observing five days in a week and June 28 to July 1 (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday) for offices observing six days working in a week,” said a notification.

Earlier this week, the federal government announced holidays for the festival, which will be celebrated on June 29 in Pakistan.

The June 20’s notification says offices working five days a week will get the first two days off for Eid - June 29 and June 30. Meanwhile, offices working six days a week will get an additional day off on July 1, which falls on Saturday.
